Who I am

My career

I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Brasília, where I specialized in psychoanalysis, gender theory and linguistics. After graduating in 2015, I moved to London to pursue a master’s in Comparative Literature at University College London. My dissertation explored modern feminist revisions of classical myths. I also contributed to Pi Media, UCL's student magazine.

My professional journey began at Engerati, a media start-up focused on the energy sector. I wrote news and features, interviewed subject matter experts and managed the content strategy. I then joined Global University Systems as an in-house copywriter, writing and editing marketing content across multiple platforms and brands.

In 2019, I moved to Bruges, Belgium, and joined PieSync as a Digital Content Marketer. In addition to writing and editing marketing content, I led the redesign of key landing pages and the PieSync blog, driving significant traffic and conversion increases.

When PieSync was acquired by HubSpot, I joined their Web Strategy team. I was responsible for copywriting and editing, as well as revamping case studies and product pages to improve their storytelling and create a connected user journey.

My most recent role was as a B2C Digital Marketing Manager at Stampix, overseeing email campaigns, website optimisation and paid ad campaigns.

As of August 2024, I am a full-time freelance copywriter and editor, ready to bring my expertise to your projects.

The fun bits

I’m a writer with a lifelong passion for the craft, but there’s more to me than just words on a page — or website!

Originally from Brasília, Brazil, I made my way to London in 2015 and then to Bruges, Belgium in 2019. I’m fluent in Portuguese and English, but also dabble in Spanish, French and Dutch. I’m a vegetarian with a deep love for animals, especially my cats, Athena and Bailey, whom I love to bits.

In my free time, I’m usually gardening, painting, exploring nature, solving puzzles or getting lost in a book or some good music. I have countless playlists for different moods, but they generally include some mix of MPB (Brazilian popular music), punk rock, metal, emo and indie rock. I’m also a big fan of scary movies and animated series.

Currently, I am…

Watching: The X-Files (again), Criminal Minds and Regular Show

Reading: Our Share of Night by Mariana Enriquez and Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Listening: Radiohead just topped my Spotify Wrapped for the fifth year running

Bonus fun fact: I have a rare condition called lexico-gustatory synesthesia, which means I can literally taste words!
